Black History Month Edition-Being Black in the Fashion Industry Panel Discussion!!!
In honor of Black History Month, Tashee Inc. hosted a panel discussion, “Being Black in the Fashion Industry,” on February 27th 2020. Our panel, include Gwen Beloti– Owner and Designer of Womenswear and Accessory Line Gwen Beloti, Renee Hill– Owner and Designer of Womenswear Clothing Brand Harx 4, Will Tarplain– Co, Founder of Urban Clothing Line, Native Grey NYC, Emijaa Jaaemil– Owner and Designer of Luxe Headwear, and Accessory Brand Emijaa Jaaemil Co., and Indo Aboki– Owner and Designer of Womenswear Brand Indo Lami NY.
This discussion was very impactful and well needed for the entire fashion industry in a whole. Panelists discussed, the challenges, obstacles, and opportunities they have with being black in an industry that is dominated by non-black individuals.
